Default QTP New Wireless Electric Cutout Remote Controller Kit

Awesome things really do come in small packages!

Whether space is at a premium in your Car or truck or you prefer to retain stock vehicle appearance or just like the 'high tech' aspect of it all. The QTEC Remote Control system is the answer! The transmitter is small enough to install into the tightest spaces. Connect your power/ground and plug in your QTEC's. It's as simple as that! Press and hold the button on the remote switch. Open them wide open, or just a touch. The choice is yours! QTP offers more control options than any other company on the market.

KEY FEATURES

Easy to use push button operation for partial or wide open settings. You retain control of the amount of sound!

Built-In Motor "Over Torque" Protection circuitry

Ultra Compact Size. Transmitter is no larger than a standard Business card leaving you plenty of options for a nice 'hidden' location.

Over 100' Transmitter Range || Easy Installation!

Includes (2) Key Fob Remote Controls with Dog-Snaps

100% Backwards Compatible with our Electronic Cutout Kits.

With our recent upgrade with our cast housing to our electric cutout and now add the wireless remote controller you have the ultimate electric cutout.

I gotta get one of these. Had your cutouts for years and love it. Keep up the good work.

Is the toggle switch still functional from inside the car if you wire this up also?

I don't get the idea of the key fobs. Is there a momentary switch at all?

Neat little toy. But not really seeing the purpose besides being "the next cool thing". You'll still need to run power to the cutout, so it's not saving any wiring mess/time. Still have a decent size box to hide somewhere out of sight. And now there's no direct switch, so reliability is left to a key fob. Sounds like a bigger fail point that just having a switch. Instead of worrying about just a cutout motor quitting, now one must worry about the box failing and the key fobs failing. It may be very uncommon to fail, but there are now two extra fail points in the system now. Either way, cool little toy to use to impress someone when you're not in the car.

The receiver is only 2"x3". i would not call that a decent size box. And you do not have to worry about reliability because we field tested this system for almost a year. Showed it off last year at SEMA.

So please try not scare people about fail points when there is nothing to worry about. And with our Full Metal Jacket on the electric motors that we have since feb no failures their either

Just got all the parts - the oval cutouts, turndowns and wireless fob - very excited. It seems to me that with the wireless unit, I should be able to mount the receiver somewhere in the trunk and maybe get power from something nearby like the subwoofer, and that saves me running wires to the front of the vehicle to get power. Do I have that right?
Oh - I have a 2013 CTS-V.

I don't have the tools for the pipes so I'm planning on heading out to my local exhaust facility, but figured I ought to get the power stuff done first to save some time and money.

Mechanical newbie here, so thoughts very much appreciated.

This is a cool option. It saves having to mount/drill a hole somewhere for a physical switch. I have had two QTP's, with my current one being mounted at the Borla plate location.... Great cutout! If I ever do one in a new car... I like this option of putting the fob in the center console.
