Spark plug mod?
I've heard this mod helps with fuel economy, but what really got me interested is that it also gives you a few more ponies. The mod consists of drilling a 1/16" hole in the ground strap... has anyone done this? Thinking about it, it does make sense, but at the same time, it almost seems like it would defeat the purpose of the ground strap all together. Any testimonies? I really don't care about gaining MPG, more interested in power gains?
In a nutshell... Does It Work?

Uhh...why? Sounds like a gimmick to me. Kinda like the split fires back in the day.
Remember, electricity always takes the path of least resistance.
Which is why the platinum 4's, 2's etc don't help at all until the plugs are already shot and in need of replacement, when the ground strap might be getting worn down or carbon covered. Then having an extra ground strap might be beneficial. However, so is routine maintenance on your spark plugs.

where did you read this BS? how does this even remotely make sense? if you do it, prepare to buy another ground strap after it ***** the bed on you. leave well enough alone. you want better mpg, get more air into the engine, maximize plug gap free up air flow out of the engine, create less drag.

Unfortunately this creates an obstruction to the flame which offsets the benefit?
As I understand it drilling the hole is to improve kernel

Like that guy said, what's the worst that could happen...? Someone has to be the lab rat here and test it out lol. Next time I'm due for plugs, I'll buy 2 sets, one I won't touch and the other I'll do this mod and post results on here.
