Default Will I damage anything running poly motor mounts and poly tranny mount?

I ordered a set of poly motor mounts for my header install and the box came with a poly trans mount also. All my mounts are worn out with a 116,xxx miles. If I really don't have to worry about anything, I'll just install both sets. What I mean by worry about is, breaking something. Thanks guys.

Almost everyone does only motor mounts and leave the tans mount stock. That's what I'll be doing.

They do it because if you go poly on the trans too, there will be much more felt vibration.

You won't break anything though.

I didn't see a need to start a new thread for a similar question, can I run just a poly transmission mount and leave the motor mounts stock for now? I have the transmission out being rebuilt and don't really want to mess with the motor mounts for now.

I don't know how true it is, but I've read that if you do only the poly trans mount and leave the stock motor mounts that you run the risk of breaking the tail shaft.

you can modify the trans mount to help rid the vibration that it causes. I think you just grind down the 2 tabs on top so its flat, and then do not use the pre-load plate.

From what I've been reading, you want more solid motor mounts then transmission mounts - or the same level of strength on both ends.
(Correct me if I'm wrong)

Poly motor mounts really firm up throttle response compared to rubber, I was very happy with the results.

I've broken far too many rubber tranny mounts to go back, vibration or not.
