will ported TB mess up tuning?

It will alter things a bit. I've had my car tuned and have changed the exhaust setup to true duals, have put on a ported TB and things are a bit wacky at startup. Engine needs about 3-4 minutes to find itself and run correctly. After that, things are fine.
Maybe you're thinking the ported MAF, which is
probably the single biggest sexually transmitted
disease of the late-model F-body.
The TB is basically a piece of pipe, a ported TB
is a smoother piece of pipe, and if it doesn't leak,
it can't affect the mixture (though it could let
you intake more air at high RPMs, attaining higher
peak cylinder pressure, and letting you ping in
places you could barely get to before).

To answer your question, the only way the TB could possibly hurt your mixture is if your dyno tune is on the verge of super lean already. The MAF will read more incoming air, therefore adding the proper fuel to make things right. You should have no problems at all.

Some TB's are epoxy filled and alter the idle air passage slightly. When you're runnin' a big cam something like that can change things a bit. Nothing major, but it does have an impact.

cool...thanks for the info guys. i want to order the bauer TB, but i have to find out the turn around time. does anybody have an experience/knowledge of the TR TB or the new TSP TB that is coming out?

again, thanks for all the replies. i got my response back from the email i sent bauer and he said normally 5-10 days which is outstanding. so after im done typing this, im taking the TB off and getting it ready to be shipped off.
