throttle cable adjustment??
you still have to pretty much stand on the gas pedal to hit peak tps voltage
I dont have anything attached to my throttle cable. It goes straight back, then takes a sharp right turn over the intake, then into the firewall on the driver's side. My car didnt come with TCS or anything, so maybe this is my problem??? any input would be great Trending Topics
Damnit!! this is always my luck!!
Oh well, I guess the only thing to do is adjust the slack in the pedal. I found a write-up on this when I did a search today. Thanks for the info The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
cable out from the firewall while pushing the pedal arm
toward it. How much slack is uncovered? If it's an inch
or more, make yourself a spacer for the cable to take
out the slack. I used vacuum hose slit lengthwise and
a piece of heat-shrink tubing to sleeve it.

back up (if you have the right hoard of scrap).
I used a bit of 1/8" vac hose that was hanging
off some old SBC parts in the shed and I already
had the heat-shrink tubing assortment handy
(purpose of this being, to keep the vac hose
from gapping along the slit and letting the end-
ball on the cable pull through). One of the pieces
in the bag (which I think was from Home Depot
electrical section) is just the right size to barely
slip over the end-ball and you want a piece of
vac hose that also is a just-barely fit so the
sleeve doesn't want to go wandering. You could
shrink it with a heat gun to make it semi-permanent
though I didn't bother.
Another crazy temporary idea would be to tie your trottle cable in a knot and then put it back on the tb. It would take up maybe a 1/2 inch of slack. It's a lazy ghetto fix, but it would work.
