Default plug wires

I want some new plugs and wires when I install my headers next week. I've seen people recommend the stock coil packs over the msd ones in other posts. Is it the same for the wires bc I was just gonna go with a new set of GM ones part #89017270 on ws6 store.

I have the MSD 8.5mm on mines, those and Taylor's get a lot of good feedback, but I'm almost positive that the stock replacements would be fine as well.

Taylors suck-they arc.The nicest plug wire you'll find are the zero Ohm wires at Granatelli Motorsports. They claim some gains but whether they help your numbers or not, they're beautiful wires and have a great warranty.

The Granatelli wires improved my engine response compared to fairly new LS7 GM wires. A slight stumble was eliminated.

AC-Delco of the past was a good quality GM controlled and operated brand. ACDelco today is post bankruptcy (it was sold off) and now gets parts from all around the world. Wire sets are assembled in Mexico with Asian components.

If you get a box that says AC-Delco, it's the real deal. If the box says ACDelco, it's the newer stuff. The " - " in the name is the tattletale.

There's a sponsor that sells NGK TR55s and a MSD plug wire package on here. Very cheap... I'd link you but I'm on mobile atm.

You can't go wrong with any of them honestly. I have friends that run the autozone stuff with no complaints. I personally run the .409 Taylors, but I wouldnt hessitate to run something else.

If you go buy 02 sensors at a GM dealership.....you get Denso sensors in an AC DELCO box.

We will really never know anymore what is genuine or not......

Yeah, it's a shame. To Denso's credit, I do consider their sensors to be the better brand.

Having said this, my brother has been the auto industry for many years and "re-boxing" has been rampant between makers and retailers.

Ultimately, virtually all parts for cars & trucks come from Asia or South American producers.

As far msd coils they are the same as stock it just msd have a lower failure rate and they look cool lol but personally I bought the msd wires in red again they look better I felt a little improvement on idle much smoother but not a big differences but oem are good granatellis wire never used them but their too pricy for spark plugs wires that's why I stuck with msd wires
