i don't know about the dummy tips. i think it would look funny when you step on the gas and see the cloud of exhaust coming out from under the car and not the tips. this is how i fixed that problem with mine. total cost for everything pipe, mufflers, tips, header flanges, and velocity reducers was $500 and a lot of time.

still have not got it back on a lift for the underneath shots but will asap, but here are some ground clearence pics.
you can see it run thru my spohn tunnel brace on this one
driver side coming off header
rear shot to show how i had to do the turndowns, car is very low so had to point them basically sideways and that has reduced drone a bit also
