Default Slower? Or just me...

So today I went from two 2.5 dynomax race bullets to no mufflers(straight pipes in the same spot). My gf and I feel for some reason that it's slower. Is there any reason why it would be? Or is it just in our heads? Thanks

By the way I have an LS1Camaro with long tube headers and true duals with an H pipe. All 2.5 inch

When I open my 4 inch cutout my car gets real soggy feeling in the lower rpms. With it closed and going through the catback the throttle response is much more crisp.

Its in your heads, replacing a straight pipe with baffles in the inside with just a pipe wont change anything

Haha don't worry her butt is not that big! I figured the bullets are straight through and that it wouldnt make any difference so I guess I just wanted to make sure that there wasnt something that I didn't know... I guess... Or something... I don't know haha.

Well... that was never in the back of my mind. I was gave it some good WOT to listen to my new crazy sound... and instead I was like... "dang was that slower?" Maybe I accidentally had two Dynomax turbos installed instead of mufflers...

I'm going to guess it is louder and noisier and not any faster...so your mind plays tricks on you.

BTW, why would you cut out straight through mufflers and put in straight pipe? These cars sound like redneck dogshit without a muffler and you sure as hell aren't going to gain any power over the bullets.

Well thunder that's just your opinion on the exhaust sound because I love it. And I wasn't expecting any gains at all... I'm not dumb.

I was just making suuuuuure that me doing the swap didn't change anything for some reason that I didn't know about.

"Didn't you know bra?!?! Dynomax race bullets have like super scientifically crazy designed things in them that super accelerate exhaust flow! And then they are blessed by a medicine man! That's why you're slower!!!"

Just making sure that there is not something like this (^^^^^^^^^) that I don't know about

The only way to tell slower/faster is by comparing quarter mile ET/TS.
