Default Problems after TSP True Dual Install. Any suggestions?

My buddy ordered the TSP TD kit and we installed it over the weekend. He had a ORY and SLP II exhaust before it. They only change we made was the installation of the TD's and now he is getting random idle surging and hanging. He will be driving and it will just surge up to 3,800 RPM sometimes. He is also having an high idle issue after he presses the throttle. It will idle from around 1100 - 1300 RPM.

I looked all around for vacuum leaks and found one near the PCV valve and we fixed that. I then thought he could have a bad TPS so we did a relearn on that and it didnt help. I then swapped my TPS over to his car and no dice there either.

Current mods.

LT's
TSP TD's
CAI

It's stock other than that. He has also never had the car tuned which I think could be the whole issue.

anyway I am open to suggestions.

UPDATE:

Codes it was throwing.

All O2 related.

Is he getting an SES light? I would try and pull codes, or do some data logging. You are guessing without that information. Did you try idle relearn? Did you try unplugging the MAF? If it smooths out you may have dirty/bad MAF.

He is bringing he code over this evening for me to pull the codes on. I know last time I checked them the only code it was throwing was for the rear O2 sensors. This was a few months ago though.

I'll keep you guys updated with my findings.

Swap out the passenger O2 with one of yours and see if it fixes the problem.

could be the front O2s, not sure which side is bank 1/bank2? I would still try unplugging the MAF before buying O2 sensors or a tune. The rear 02s will not affect drivability at all, you will eventually want to tune them out though.

EDIT..Make sure the front O2s are plugged in!

Diagnosed the issue. He has a bad IAT sensor.
