Default SLP MAF and Tuning

Does the SLP MAF require that I get a tune? Also when I do get a tune which mail order is better, Texas Speed or Speed Inc?

Sorry..I didn't read the guide first. Guess aftermarket MAFs aren't worth it. Still wondering who has a better tune though if anyone has an opinion.

Default camaro corvette GTO performance tuner in Tampa Orlando

If you are going to have the vehicle tuned, no sense buying a pre-calibrated MAF with the exception of if its a larger than stock size. Your tuner will have to recalibrate the MAF table either way.

Do you know the GM part # for the truck MAF? Is the c5 z06 MAF from GM any good or is it the same as the truck maf?

The first 2 part #s worked. Should I just buy the cheaper one? or is one better than the other?

whichever is cheaper. Anyone of them will work. You also may need to buy the casper's adapter.

Any opinions on mail order tuning? Is Frost a better option than TSP or Speed Inc?

I used Frost as he has a very very good reputation. No experience with anyone else. If you ask around on here, I'm pretty sure everybody will tell you to use FROST..

I have the Truck MAF in my Corvette. its 85mm and screened. I felt I had slightly more pick up with the unscreened, but much better manners with the screened MAF. I think I paid about $35.00 bucks new off of Ebay

It should be screened but may have to look at picture or ask seller.

I found a Delphi on ebay for $90. Is the GM one a Delphi? Otherwise gmpartsdirect has them for $140.
