Default LS1 coil mounting

Anyone mount there coils only using one bolt each? I was going to cut down my stock brackets to just use the upper bolts, to the coils, and the bolts to the VC between them. (don't use the lower or rear ones anyway to the VC) Just to get them a little lighter, samller and easier to work on) And looking at my stock 2001 set and noticed the outer "frame" is not solid, like it has some interlocking fit or something. The LS2 and truck coils don't have this.
Are they still solid inside? Worried after some street driving could cause a problem with only 1 upper bolt in them hanging there. If they need 2 to support themselves? Not a exciting thread, but dont have spare coils to find this out.

I would think that the coils would vibrate at certain engine speeds.

Is there any of the remote setups that only bolt them on one end?

I've seen them on a custom made bracket mounted up on the firewall with long plug wires. Cleaned up the valve covers significantly.

I want to keep them on the VC. It not just to be custom, or a show thing. Its about weight, and keeping the car simple to work on and not have issues with racing and street driving.

1 its fine for heat, and street driving, getting wet ect.

2 easy to work on, keeping them all bolted on the bracket only running 3 bolts into the VC and all 4 coils are off, and back on fast. You always have 10mm working on the car anyway.

3 Easy the remove and put the plug wires on, no change of mixing them up, and easy to fine a spare wire or get new ones fast at any parts store or a friend.

4 Same with the coils wiring, just one connector per side, on/off, fast and easy. No change to mix them up. Or non stock wiring to have problems.

Since i swapped my ls into my 95 z28 im running the corvette fuel pressure regulator off of the fuel rail, so i have to use one bolt on that coil so i can turn it diagonal to clear the regulator. I decided to turn all of them diagonal to look good and theyre fine
