Default harmonic balancer w/o ac

is there any company that makes a harmonic balancer/crank pulley without A/C? im thinking if they do it will be lighter, so i would prefer to go with it since i dont have a/c already

ATI makes a great balancer and you can buy one without a provision for AC.

its not just about HP, ATI makes some of the best dampners out there. I have had nothing but issues with ASP, no experience with powerbond, though it appears to be the same heavy POS the ASP is. I spin my engine to 7K though, bad harmonics will eventually cause damage, broken timing chains etc..I only trust ATI.

These engines are internally balanced, the "balancer" is there to keep engine harmonics out of the accessory drive and drive them. If your chewing up timing chains, you have other issues.

ASP balancers have been known to cause timing chain failures, that is well documented here...and yes I know they are internally balanced...bad harmonics can cause some serious issues down the road...why I will never cheap out on another dampner..

Agreed. If the balancer is out of balance, it will transfer harmonics back into the rotating assembly. But a good balancer shouldn't.

People have been running the stock damper on many applications. I agree w/BWW, if the damper is bad, its obvious there will be a side effect. As long as the thing is serviceable, shouldn't be an issue.
