Pull, pull, pull!

You can try soaking it in PB Blaster or worst case scenario make a relief cut.

PB Blaster and grunting. Helps to try and rotate/spin/wiggle the y-pipe while pulling outward.

Friendly taps on both sides with a rubber mallet - will open the 'throat' of the I-pipe

I found twisting on the horns of the Y to be the trick.
A floor jack and some 4x4 chunks may be what you need
to break it free the first time (chunk between floorboard
and Y-I junction, and jack on one side of the Y or the
other). You'll need some height under it, the more the
better.

Goop it up with anti-sieze when you put it back together.

I could not get mine separated after 10+ years of rust when I did my SLP PowerFlo. I finally just cut it and got an SLP y-pipe to replace the stock y-pipe. It was nice having all new pipe from the exhaust manifolds back.

Dirty talk to it, Y pipe will fall off on it's own

What i do is use the seafoam deep creep spray, **** works badass, let it sit for 5 mins or so and then just slip it off. this stuff makes PB blaster look like a joke

It's a real pain to take out. I used a bunch of PB Blaster and I ditched the rubber mallet for a regular metal one. Loud as hell, but it wasn't like I was using this again anyway..

If you look at this pic from my writeup, those red circles are where hammering seemed to have the most effect. Get earplugs if your ears aren't already screwed like mine.

Heat will be most effective. Heat, do not cut, the joint until it is red hot, then wiggle and pull it out.
