3.5" mandrel bent over the axle
i have searched high and low and can't find this separate piece. i am just looking for a 3.5" over the axle pipe - mandrel bent. i can find 3" all day long. not that i don't think 3" is sufficient now, i want a larger diameter for future upgrades...and i thik it'd sound better.
perhaps this is something a sponsor could make? doing some research i'm looking at or above $200 in parts and bends, as the active mandrel benders around here charge ~$25 per bend.

For the most part 3.5 will not fit. Its hard enough getting 3" over the axle. Its not going to effect sound quality at all. 3" is good for up to 500+hp. Just stick with 3"...I'm almost positive a lot of shops aren't going to want to do it when they see how much clearence they have.

have you checked with those:
http://www.bauerweld.com/index.html
and
http://www.profabrication.com/
ive seen plenty 3.5" online when i was going that route but i changed my mind and stayed with the 3". how about a 3.5" cutout in the I pipe then a regular 3" over axle?
EDIT: what kind of 3" over axle have you found online? other than the Dynomax 53061 am thinking of redoing mine again. thanks.

1. 3.5" is very hard to get over the axle. Not impossible, but very hard to do.
2. A lot of shops will be weary of making this work.
3. 3" is good for 500+ hp, so a dual/X setup would flow best comparably to this setup.
That's why most opt for 3". Once again, I never said it was impossible, just accessing the degree of difficulty.
Oh..and **** you once again toughguy Grr.

i emailed mufflex about thier 3.5" catback setup. i want to use a muffler of my choice, not one they provide. i may end up buying that setup and the muffler i want separately, as well, so i can do what i want. i do not want a crossflow muffler.
i was hoping to find a 1 piece, pre-bent setup...or at least one i know will work. that way i don't have to order $500 in separate bends just to know i can drive to the exhaust shop and leave the same day with a complete setup.

Hey **** you grr...what's with the hostile response. I'd knock you out "if" you said that anywhere near me. Hows that bullshit?

To the OP, if you cannot buy the system without muffler it should be easy to re-sell the magnaflow. If you were ordering the 4" system I would take it off your hands, my single 3" is costing me 20-30hp and I planned on upgrading to the single 4" mufflex this year

I went with a 4" on my car, its not over the axle but dumped right before the axle. I did feel a noticeable difference going from a 3" TSP ORY to a 3" magnaflow dumped.
Current setup is 4" flowmaster merge and 4" dynomax bullet dumped.
When cruising and trying to get up to speed the car gets up to speed faster, IMO. Sounds pretty sick too
