Default Another Exhaust thread(Cat back)

I'm not sure if I'm getting old now or what, but my Camaro needs a better exhaust system. My car even though I don't drive it very often is TO DAMN LOUD. The Current exhaust set up is LPP Headers, LPP Y Pipe and a Splitflow bullet....thats it!

I LOVED how my GMMG sounded before I did all the motor work, and took the cats off. I kinda want that sound again. Does anyone have any suggestions? I don't really want a raspy loud annoying exhaust.

Magnaflow #12867 will work great in a dumped setup!
If you want to tuck it up as far as possible you'll need to clearance the I-pipe floorboard area in the 9-12 O-clock,. That's how I did mine.
http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...=main&id=10998

For a slightly different, but mellow sound the magnaflow #18129 will fit with no clearance issues, and it's priced about half that of the stainless steel#12867. http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/d...rtnumber=18129

To minimize interior drone run a length a pipe(J-bend) right before the rear axle tubes and only angle the pipe down about 10-15*.
You'll want to cut the J-bend in the middle of the 180* bend , flip it a little more than 180* and re-weld it together.

You can run true duals with a body mount torque arm. If you got some fab skills. I mounted the X centered in the body mount and both pipes exiting on the passenger side. Sounds Nice!

Isn't it obvious?? Throw the GMMG back on and put a powerstick in the I-pipe.

With the Kooks I-pipe, I can fit the 'long' powerstick. I'm not hacking up my GMMG I-pipe tho. I'm going to cut the kooks I-pipe right back to 2.5" away from the merge and then have my local monroe muffler replicate the bends in the GMMG I-pipe so then I can just clamp it onto the tube muffler and weld a cutout in without ruining my GMMG I-pipe. The OP in the 'how to eliminate rasp' thread used the medium powerstick so mine should be a tad quieter which is fine with me. I even called kooks and they told me the catted Y and the ORY are the same exact thing other than the catted Y has the cats welded in right at the inlets so if I have to buy cats and clamp or weld them in I will. I think I will be doing that regardless since the wife isn't crazy about the smells from running catless

With the Kooks I-pipe, I can fit the 'long' powerstick or the standard stainless works (the one I went with b/c I like SS). I'm not hacking up my GMMG I-pipe tho. They're in the classifieds now and then. You could always just have a muffler shop replicate the GMMG using a 3.5" I-pipe and 3" duals with a powerstick in the I-pipe and 1 in each dual?

I had the TSP Rumbler on my old ws6 with a Magnaflow bullet. Since it was ran out the back it wasn't too loud but still pretty noisy. If I to do it over it'd be the same set-up with 2 resonators before the tips to mellow it down a bit.

Still haven't got a catback! I like the sound of the Hookers but they aren't stainless and the tips look like DICK.

If your trying too tone it down, i would consider hooker catback. Might be just as loud as magnaflow but in my opinion has a deeper rumble sound.
