i've liked a lot of exhaust setup's, but once i heard mine... i didn't expect it to sound like that it's very different from inside the car to outside. (while driving).

i'm on TSP 1 7/8 - Custom Catless 3" Y Pipe - Magnaflow 3" in dual 2.5" out.

on topic though generally mustangs all sound the same (to me or at least in my country).

but they can never get that mean, hungry for kills, child scolding LS1 sound which once you achieve you won't hear anyone revving next to you lol.

Stated earlier that the firing orders are different is false. The 4.6L's have the same firing order as an LS1. Personally I believe that a properly built exhaust on an LS1 sounds better than a Mustang, granted I HATE the hollow/empty sound that almost every Mustang has.

Well im not saying i havent heard some mustangs that sounded good. But usualy i dont hear them for long. They usualy end up hearing my ls1 pulling away from them. I wudnt trade that for anything.

no push rod motor will sound like a mod motor, no matter what exhaust you put on it, especially a 4V motor. a full MAC catback on a C headed car is as sexy as it gets.

I had an 01 and 03 cobra (B heads/C heads), both sounded incredible at WOT, especially with LTs, offroad-X, thru a bassani catback...and I agree no OHV motor is going to sound quite like a cammer at full song.

Engine sound/exhaust note is purely subjective.
I`ve heard diesel trucks and historic rally cars on carburettors that sound good. You either like the noise or you don`t.
I like my Z28 with borla catback but also liked my 2003 GT with magnapacks. I like the noise of a lid coming off a beer bottle.

Mustangs have what I'd consider a "good" sound. LSX's with aftermarket exhaust, or a cam sound much meaner. Stronger. Also, the Mustangs have sort of the same tone regardless of mods. The LSX motors seem to get more unique with mods.

THIS. True duals with an x and Flowmaster single chambers will sound similar to a 2v mustang but better.

**** the 3v or 4v sound. Lsx sounds better than those (unless said 4v has a blower whine)

What ever you do, on a TA, get them going out the back. Looks terrible when the rear bumper has places for pipes but its empty
