FAST 102 intake and tb fitment ?s
so im lookin to throw the whole fast 102mm top end setup on my ls1 (intake, tb, fuel rails) and ive heard there are a few fitment issues with the intake and tb coming in contact with the water pump pulley. if anyone has ran across this issue and fixed it or has any feedback on any of those parts id appreciate it

The fast 102 fits just fine, alittle tight fit but there easy to install. For the TB you just have to grind alittle off of the TB with a dremel for it to clear the water pump. I did three fast 102 installs on the fbody and had to take alittle off of the TB on all three. It's not hard.

I have zero issues with anything hitting the TB on my 102 setup, I didnt have to touch the intake or TB. I did have to tweak the coolant cross over pipe by bending it down a little to clear the bottom of the intake where it hangs off the front of the valley. You "may" need to massage the water pump at the top around the 1 o'clock where a bolt boss is. I had sufficient clearance, but cleaned the casting flaws off anyhow. Also, where the pump is bolted together (bolts heads facing the timing cover) they may contact the cover. A quick hit with a grinder solves that issue. Personally, I think its very simple to get fitted. I dont know what all the fuss is about on the posts I have read in the past.

If you have the newer style water pump, it should clear the water pump as is or w/ very minor grinding of the pump. I also highly suggest the LS3 style coolant cross over. It fits better under the intake than the LS6 one. IMHO the intake appears to be designed around the LS3 tube as the LS6 fit like ***.
