Default Tame true dual setup?

Was planning on dumping my xpipe before the axles, but after I got my stall, dumped duals and 2500-3000+Rpm in traffic wouldn't work well with police. Now I'm planning on running it out the back. Was going with either sweet thunders or spiral flows but now I'm thinking about adding cats too. How loud are catted duals brought out the back compared to no cats and dumped?

I you want tame you need mufflers. Straight through bullets are NOT mufflers.

Get real mufflers and you will have a exhaust worth listening to.

Flowmaster single chambers? What do y'all think about cats? I'm on a budget, not trying to spend money I don't need to. Well they make much of a difference volume/sound quality wise?

You can add cutouts to control exhaust volume when fuzz is around.

I'll pass on the cutout's, tight budget and as long as it sounds good it'll be fine. I don't see anything under 2.5k even in parking lots so it'll be loud enough for me. I'm about to order my headers in a week, then on to mufflers. I think I'm just going to dump it and hope for the best right now, there's a good amount of loud cars around my area. Saw an STI with a dumped midpipe and what sounded like a big turbo, if he can do it I hope I can lol.

Is a dumped XPipe with chambered mufflers that kind of loud that makes you think open headers or just 'that car sounds nice' loud?

Make noise with power, not lack of an exhaust. Put mufflers on it, don't dump it.

ive got flowmaster 10s on my 3in true duals, it sounds waaay better than bullets. its still pretty loud but not crazy, I can have a conversation at interstate speed without having to talk over the exhaust. with it coming out the back im sure it would be much quieter

Dude I have tsp bullets true dual set up with my h/c/I car (trex) and before I ran it out to the back it was pretty loud. I just installed my CME and cut off the turn downs and ran it up to the CME with 2 90 deg bends and it really made my exhaust quite if I didn't tell you I was running the trex cam with duals you'd never know I'd say go for it

Is there a certain series flowmaster I should be going for? Are people using the 'race' versions or the 'street'? They have such a big selection, and they don't describe any of them that well. Any other good chambered mufflers besides flowmasters? I want an aggressive sound, more of a bark than a growl. Something mean.

Where should the inlet/outlet be to have it fit the best? Sorry for the questions, my first time setting up an exhuast.

Or can I just get any flowmaster muffler? I don't really like the flowmaster catback on my car, would duals with flowmasters just be a louder version of what I have? Not too many good youtube videos and cameras usually mess with the sound of them.

I have 3" true duals dumped with 4x9 Magnaflow mufflers on my car at low rpm and idle it's not loud at all. I can cruise around with window up or down, radio on and I barely notice the exhaust. The mufflers have a great dump rumble sound and zero rasp.

I would not use flowmasters on my car , there much better choices out there.

Such as? I know of the popular bullet types, flowmaster and Magnaflow, what else sounds good? I saw a thread a month ago where a guy used European mufflers that usually go on bmws and stuff but that's all I know of.

First of all what system are you going to run and be specific don't just say duals. At this point all I can say is pick anything but Flowmaster , next try to determine what kind of sound you like , go to every car show you can and listen and ask what they running. Sound clips aren't going to tell you ****. The system design is more important than the muffler you select. And if you are dumped before the axle don't even bother asking.
