Ahhh, these are China built. Makes sense now.
I nabbed mine on ebay for $179 shipped and the pipes were 1.73-1.76 all the way down.
Seems like the pipe size varied a bit form seller to seller, I was lucky.
Either way, I wanted the best I could buy for my car so I went with Kooks, glad I did.

None of them. I never had a mention of price.
I simply claimed that you were making a late entrance into a market, where the product you are offering may have been proven obsolete, even on a stock engine (compared to bigger headers, obviously there are gains over stock). Surely you are offering headers at a great price, however stainless steel headers with 1 3/4" primaries at a sub $200 price have been on the market for years, I owned a set and loved them.
Now if you offer some 1 7/8" headers at a sub $300 price point, you have found your niche.
Again, do you make these in house? If so I applaud you and the price is more than worth it, as I would be willing to pay for something made in the states, with a local customer service contact (why I bought Kooks).

Nope, just trying to enlighten other forum go-ers who may not be aware of their options out there.
I fully support all the sponsors of the board who I have worked with, I have nothing against this sponsor, just being fair. Is there a rule that we have to be nice to all the sponsors, regardless of what they offer? I simply offered up my objective point of view and even praised them for offering their customer service, for a small price increase, over the eBay headers.
With that said, they just missed what could be a huge market....dirt cheap, china built headers with big primaries in stainless.

Well, IMO I believe they completely missed anything, per say. These cars are now out of production for about 12 years. The fact that ANYTHING new is coming out is in my opinion, pretty cool. If you are looking for headers to grab some extra power over stock, some more sound, and want to spend as little as possible? These fit the bill.
I agree with you on the customer service.

We designed these headers to compete against ebay style headers. Our headers have larger primary tubes, and are in a race version compared to the air/egr only versions on ebay. Basically we wanted to offer an equally priced header with much better fitment, performance, and look then what is currently offered.
These headers make over 20rwhp gains on stock internal LS1's. An 1 7/8" longtube is not going to add much more on a fairly stock LS1. The way we looked at it, is if you were planning on spending a bunch of money to buy heads/cam, or a stroker setup which could greatly benefit from the larger primary. More than likely you were going to spend more money on a better quality longtube like a Kooks or American Racing.
Regardless, we do plan on making an 1 7/8" style its just not on our current list to get knocked out next year.
Thanks
Sean

black79transam: We have our own matching stainless Y-Pipe that looks very similar to TSP's that we have already test fitted.
Thanks

I'm highly considering a set for my now 11 year old g-body swap, in which a lot of people used the f-body set with varying results. I can modify some if needed .I'm sure these would be an improvement over my S&P midlength set. I don't shop e-bay.
Just wondering, is there any proven way to keep any of the polished shine once they get hot???
