Sean,
Im looking at you 1 7/8 headers with e cut outs and your y pipe mated to the magnaflow 3 in cat back for my 01 z28. What is your opinion of this set up? Thanks in advance.

Ordering headers in a couple weeks, it's between the Speed Engineering and TSP 1 3/4" LT's, having a tough time deciding on whether or not I should spend extra on the TSP's, are they even worth it over these? I've read nothing but good about these Speed Engineering LT's and they're both stainless steel, also I read the TSP's are China made as well

You can get the Speed Engenering 1 7/8 headers for cheaper than the Texas Speed 1 3/4. I would go with the bigger ones.

Yeah that's true, I'm considering the 1 7/8 as well. Just wondering how these headers compare to the TSP's in regard to overall quality though, I've heard nothing but good things about both.

No one has the Speed Eng. 1 7/8 excluding the prototype(s) Sean has. So can't compare. I'm sure someone has compared the 1 3/4 versions.

SDyess: Yes, that would be a good combo. Unfortunately, we don't carry QTP any more. We need to get another connection on cut-outs.

FYI on the 1 7/8" headers. They were delayed a week or so due to filling the container they are shipping over in. ETA is approx 3 weeks from now.

Thanks
Sean

Thanks for update and what about DMH cutouts?

That's what I've been looking into

I thought DMH is not longer in business. I could be wrong.

I was on their site and it's still up but I went into ordering page and was getting errors and not able to complete an order.

I was looking on google shopping and a couple were listed but in description said no longer taking orders......you may be right.

Well pick a company soon Sean and if the quality and price is right I'm in

I just did nice looking kit, Made in USA! So single cutout is $320.

A bit pricey and I couldn't find any warranty info if their replacement plan is good I might consider it.

Manzo81maro started a thread on the single cut out he bought from RRP and said it came with a Lifetime warranty. Im going to call this week and get details. The dual system is a little over 600 on the site. It is pricey but if the warranty is legit its worth it.

With a warranty like that, definitely worth it. Thanks for chiming in bud

Just ordered mine yesterday. I'll post up some pics of the install after I get the motor built.

Summit sells their own brand of cutouts.

As for DMH, there has been too much hit-or-miss with customer service and whatnot throughout the years. A search will allow one to make up their own mind.

Not sure who Summit uses as a supplier for Cut-Outs, but we can get those for sure. I will have to look into the other companies.

I finally got in touch with RRP and found out the warranty is only good for 120 days. I dunno where Manzo got his information.

When are the 1 7/8 Air/EGR version going to be made for the us people that have to have the air set up. I can't remove the system since i am in Texas. I really don't want to buy the 1 3/4. I would rather pay a few extra bucks for the 1 7/8 version. But I also don't and won't pay the high price all the other brands cost.
