I just installed my headers last night. The passenger side was pretty easy, but the driver side sucked. I ended up pulling the spark plugs and the steering shaft to get the necessary clearance to get the header on that side. Fit and finish are pretty good, welds seem nice. I'm really surprised how good these headers are built and how good they look for the money. They seem like they'd be much more expensive. Now that I need an exhaust setup, I will put their exhaust on my short list of considerations.

All that will pass smog, because they don't show or are CARB approved. No long tubes will pass smog, main reason being the cats would have to move back, and that is forbidden more than a few inches. So even if they shipped into CA you wouldn't be able to run them and pass smog.

Back then my plans where to install a Howard's ASA cam with tsp stage 1 ls6 heads, tsp 1 7/8 with tsp ory but i don't want to have trouble passing smog or finding a place that will do it

No cheating anymore, though it is simplified now.
Visual for all required equipment (cats, mainly, in original location) and plugging into OBDII connector to check for codes.
If the internal mod (like a mild cam) doesn't set a code, you're good!
The scanner is connected to the central CARB computer, so bribing the tester WILL be fruitless.
So what CAN you do? Any head porting or valve job, CARB-exempt air intake, cat-back exhaust, mild cam, and tuning.
As long as OBDII doesn't throw a code, you're good there.

For that reason is why I wanna use tha lpe gt2-3 cam poeple say you can't even tell there's an aftermarket cam in there, plus I'll be using some 799 heads, ima keep my ls6 intake, plus shorty jba dynomax ory no cats and when is time for smog I'll just swap back the stock cats with the slp y pipe. I think I should be good for smog with those mods plus cam and heads cause I'll be tuning it anyway

I got my headers installed in my 2001 Camaro SS over the weekend. The install was super easy given that the car doesn't have the intake or allot of the wiring in it right now. But, the driver side sucked to install. The main issue is that it ran into clearance issues against the steering linkage. So, I removed it and installed the headers and then put the linkage back in. That was the worst of it. Otherwise, this was fairly easy and relatively straight forward.
