Speed Engineering Race Version Headers Now Available!!
Midway through installing the 1 7/8" headers on my car while fighting the flu, just wanted to stop in and say that these fit a hell of a lot better than the pacesetters and SLPs that I've dealt with in the past, literally don't have to move the motor mounts, etc for them to fit. Well built piece, very happy and I haven't even heard them yet.

I didn't have to move anything at all to put the headers in, motor mounts stayed put and everything...tested before I tightened them back up by dropping the motor down and sliding them in first, but couldn't be more pleased with this so far. Upgrade in performance and upgrade in design.
I got my 1 7/8" SE headers today and I have to say the quality is better than I imagined. The spike inside the collector at the merge point is really cool. The welding & overall finish are fantastic. Thanks Speed Engineering!!!
I'm on your guy's website, and when I click to add the 1 7/8 headers to my car, it keeps saying that there are no products in the shopping cart. I've tried multiple times, but keep getting the same thing.
EDIT: Figured it out. I had to hold the control button down when clicking "add to cart". Stupid security bullshit they have at work.

Any plans on adding a catted ypipe? I really want a set of the 1-7/8 but I need cats to pass visual inspection and would rather not spend an additional $335 just to get the TSP setup.

Rob WS6: No current plans sorry. I have heard from several customers that the TSP catted Y-Pipe does work with our headers however.

Question for those guys who have received a set of the 1 7/8 headers in the past month or so; did your set come with the velocity spike? In another thread, Speed Engineering said thst the new batch coming in has the velocity spike. I want to order a set, but would like to make sure my set has the velocity spike. Anyone care to let me know if their set came with them?

One issue with these...the bolts for the exhaust clamps seem to be really weak, stripped one the first time I installed it, and another when I had to do the clutch afterwards. I wouldn't have minded having an option for a stronger option, just a thought.
Cstone812: Yes, Y-Pipe has O2 Bungs for optional wideband tuning.
McNasty: We agree. Clamps kinda suck. Unfortunately, those are the only option given to us. They work, but definitely not the greatest.
