Lol, thanks...

McNasty: Not sure to be honest with you. I believe there are a few guys using them with our system, but not 100% sure. We are a week or so out on our Y-Pipes at the moment.

Thanks
Sean

I got the set in for my sons car last week. Excellent looking set of headers. Luckily ours will be going in the easy way. On the engine already going up in with the new UMI tubular K-member.

Nothing yet. ETA is still 1-2 weeks. We are actually getting pretty low on 1 7/8" as well unfortunately, and they are not coming in this batch. Once the 1 7/8" run out were expecting a 3-4 week wait on the next batch to arrive.

Thanks
Sean

McNasty: We agree. Clamps kinda suck. Unfortunately, those are the only option given to us. They work, but definitely not the greatest.

Thanks

I bought some of these style clamps from a truck supply for about $6/each.
They make a world of difference.

Ya, unfortunately the clamps supplied are the only ones offered to us. And with 6 clamps required at 6.00 = 36.00 that would drive the price of the Y-Pipe way up. We were talking about offering them as an upgrade at one point, but never decided either way.

Thanks
Sean

My ypipe had 2 bugs in it, so a total of four spots.

Yes, the Y-Pipe has 2qty. O2 Sensor Bungs in it for wideband tuning. We plan on keeping it a four piece design unfortunately. The extra slip fit connection gives our Y-Pipe the ability to flex/work with several headers on the market, as well as gives it mobility around aftermarket chassis components.

Thanks
Sean

All this talk about motor mount issues...I am beginning to wonder if my Grotyohann headers are the best design. My headers fell right in. I initially installed them with the heads off, while doing a h/c package...but I did remove them after that and reinstalled from the bottom with the car on a floor jack.

My Speed 1 7/8 headers fell right in, the MMs on the other hand, not so fun!

Glad my son got his when he did. We haven't decided if we're bolting on headers prior to putting motor back up in or doing it after motor is in. Either way it should be too hard with the new tubular K-member. There is so much more room under there now.

FYI, 1 7/8" headers, + 6-bolt heads = having to remove the steering shaft on the driver's side. Once I removed the steering shaft, which is only 2 bolts, the headers slid up and into place easily.

Good to know. I dont think we have tried any of the 6 bolt heads with our headers.

Thanks

My LS1 is stock and I just plan on adding bolt on upgrades. No major engines mods planned. So I should go with the 1 3/4 instead of 1 7/8 right?? Can someone confirm 1 3/4 is what I need or correct me if I'm wrong.

Also, I wasnt planning on replacing the motor mounts but after all the reading it looks like it is recommended. Will the new mm help with the header fitment and ground clearance. My car has a low altitude.
