Pfadt Tri-Y Headers
#121
I've gotta give it to Eric (and Josh) at Pfadt. Always willing to help and are on top of this as we speak.
What I did to gain about a millimeter of clearance was to go ahead and loosened everything, the passenger header bolts, both V-Bands, and then loosened the starter. I stuck a skinny flat crows foot (pry bar) between what tiny gap that created. I then retorqued the starter, then the header bolts, the finally the v-bands.
That gave me literally just at or under a millimeter of clearance.
Maybe when these were fitted to a car during development it had a mini-starter, like an MSD?
Who knows. I don't mind all that much working through the issue. I'm sure we'll figure something out.

I can call Eric again tomorrow and ask him. There seriously has to be a hell of a market for it though. How do we "prove" that? I don't have that answer. Even 10 orders paid in full upfront won't pay the R&D that goes into it. Remember, it took them damn near 300 attempts with the Vette headers...
One thing I'm serious about though, they are absolutely AWESOME to work with and talk to. I really can't say enough good about them.

I talked to Eric again at Pfadt for you, Alchemist. He's open to making a possible one-time run of them for the F-Bodies. He's going to check to see who has an FBody, and he's thinking actually that one of the welders has one.
So, there's hope yet

I started it and let it idle today. Well, 5 minutes ago.
Coolant never went over 154* and it was running ROUGH. I double checked everything. No hoses or sensor I didn't reconnect.
I didn't take it for a drive yet. Beer:30 was about 3 hours ago...
We'll see tomorrow I guess

If you're not playing that game, you're a loser.
Anyway, I'm sure all she needs is to actually be DRIVEN. Should be going to Geoff's (EPS) next week. Whatever's a good day for him. We'll see what she puts down.
