They tested 20 different LS intakes on a built 6.0. Long story short, the TBSS intake put up impressive numbers. REALLY impressive numbers (better than all the aftermarket besides fast 102). The stock truck manifold was also called ugly (all of you haters may now laugh).

Just food for thought. Thought I'd try to bring actual informative matter into this "gem of a thread" haha.
I bet the Tbss intake prices skyrocket now.

I think it depends where youre located.Every dropped, "tuned by (insert flaco, pablo, juan etc.)" 5.3 Silverado owner in Houston wants one.

I got mine, with fuel rails, injectors, and sensors for $15.00 2 years ago.. Craigslist jack pot. Had a small (.25" diameter) hole in the back and I was already planning to shave and fill the intake. The guy said it was "broken" because it had a small hole.

I was thinking about selling it for some money for a fast 102 recently. I was getting offers from $200- $350. So alittle less than LS6 intake demands on the higher offers.

I decided to keep it to be different, save money, and make some power with that ugly brick of plastic.

I mocked up tbss on a car that had a notch for a super vic with a 4150 hat deal an a tbss is 9" 5/8th tall at the back..if you dont ever plan on having a wiper it could be done..you would have to do notch as if you was doing a proflo but twice as wide.

Yes... Seems to fit fine in my 85 z28 lol. You cannot get away with it unless you cut into the cowl. It still is 4in taller than a car intake.
