Default Stock ls2 heads and ls6 can for $300... Should I go for it?!

I can snag a set of ls2 heads and ls6 can with ls6 springs for $300.. I have an auto 02 SS with long tubes, lid, ory, 3.23's ls6 intake. How much power would this combo make? I know the cams small, but it's bigger than my stock cam!

Thanks!

No way would stock LS2 heads and an LS6 cam make 50rwhp. I can see 50 fwhp though. You'd gain much more by just simply replacing the camshaft with a good aftermarket cam properly specced for your vehicle and needs. Remember that although the heads and cam is $300 you will also need all of the gaskets and hardware to install everything, not to mention the fluids to replace what was lost in the instal.

Thank you,
Lonnie

$300 for a pair of 243 heads is a great deal, but besides that you won't gain anywhere near 50hp. Maybe 25, a little more if you mill them.

that is pretty funny lol

seriously if you can get that setup for 300 bucks that's great. you can sell the cam for $100 buck and put it towards a new cam which is around 350-450 depending on vendor. Do you have any ideas on what cam you would upgrade too or would you do a custom cam for your build??
