Over the last 10 years, I'v had to flat bed my Cobra twice for mechanical failures. Both time it was for a failed Aeromotive A1000 pump. Fortunatly, I had a spare both times, so down time was minimal. But I don't want to be replacing the pump every few years. I need a good electric pump that will last.
I'm making 600+hp on E85, at 42psi. So I need a minimum of 65 gal/hr (432#/hr).
I looked at both Weldon and Magnafuel. Both considerably more expensive than Aeromotive. Not that concerned about the price, as long as the part will last. I also looked at Quick Fuel, but they're for carbs.
Any thoughts/experience with either Magnafuel or Weldon?
Any other part I should be looking at?
At the moment, I'm leaning towards the Magnaflow, only because it would be easy to mount in my car, in place of the Aeromotive.

Give lonnie a call he'll get you what you need. My dual intank setup has been great, his customer service is top notch too.

Yeah, I came across the 12-700 recently. It looks good, and flows plenty of fuel. They claim it's a 100K mile pump. But it's brand new, and no one has any experience with it. I might try it out, hoping it's a 50K mile pump.

It's a certified fuel cell. Not allowed to modify it in any way.
I could use a stock type Mustang hanger, with pump, pick up, and return. But for this fuel cell, the only thing that fits is 87-93. And the feed and return lines are too small. Not a whole lot of choices for a Ford guy. So, I end up using an external pump.
One of the reasons my new track car will be Chevy powered. Lots of good choices there.

I just picked up a '02 Express van and it has an external
pump that ought to be readily available, and capable of
at least feeding a 6.0 at our 4-bar pressure. Maybe you
parallel two of 'em for more, if need be.

The pump seems to be under a heat shield just fore
of the filter and the big, long-*** tank on the driver's
side. Motor is the old iron 5.7 controlled by a "411" PCM.

Nah. Was under there again and looked closer, that stuff
under the heat shield is the EVAP crap and the whining is
inside the tank.
I do know our Lincoln MkVII has an external pump because
I changed that once. Whether it's any good for a big LSX
at 4 bar, when it's meant for a 5.0 at 3 bar, I dunno.
Maybe some of the fox body mustang / late-'80s Ford fans
do, or maybe have a line on uprated stuff.

Newer Mustang GT's have the pump mounted in the center, instead of on the right side. For those you can buy a special billit hat that mounts two pumps. Very expensive.
