Default to run one or 2, 1 chamber flowmaster?

Just picked up a 1 chamber flow from my.buddy for $10 lol i have a custom 2.5 y pipe to 3 inch to a slp2 dump before the axle sounds amazimg but always loved the tone that a 1 chamber gives.. my question is i see alot of ppl run dual 1 chambers on there ls1's.. y 2? I have heard these lil mufflers flow real well an can handel like 600 hp or somthing like that.. is it just for sound? 2 sound better then one? Idk but was just going to put it in place of my slp with a dump.. my car has 228 cam, has full bolt ons an 1 7/8's headers.. made 396 on a dyno

IMO, no reason to run 2 FM10's except with a dual exhaust system.
I would also expect some drone.

Theoretically a chambered style muffler isn't going to flow as well as a straight through style. Probably only a very minor difference though.

people run 2 because those mufflers are usually installed on dual exhaust systems...they won't sound nearly as good on an I pipe

Ya i figured u might get more of a choppy idea sound of 2 rather out of one.. bit my cam has a 112 lsa so its choppy.. 112 lsa with no cats + one chamber flow should sound good lol

Im running 2 1 chamber flows dumped...just got my head n cam car back. The sound is amazing. Very happy with it. Probably just as loud as dynomax bullets but has a very unique sound.

My tuner never heard 1 chambers dumped. He was very impressed with it.

Mine with duals was very loud. Almost as loud as an lm1 through a 3.5 y pipe. Definitely the best sounding lsx exhaust I've heard.

Sounds very good. I did that with mine and turned them straight down, it would drone so bad at 2500-3k it was constantly setting off car alarms in parking lots. Wondered how much turning them out would help.

It droned a little inside but not too bad
Fitment is an issue with two chambered mufflers under the car. you'll want to have a good shop do it thats able to tuck them high enough but still clear the torque arm and fuel lines

I had flow masters many times before. It sounded ******* badass idle'ing but I don't care for them anymore at cruising and what not. Mainly because because I've tried a couple other setups. I like the straight through mufflers more than anything. Borla xr1 was pretty sweet at part throttle and wot. Just my 2cents,. Flowmaster had sort of a bubbly sound at art throttle.
