Well, considering that Lingenfelter has done some testing with it in a NA setup, and shown improvements over a FAST, I think in a boosted setup it's really going to shine.

Sorry, I've been so entrenched in the boosted LSX culture for a good 3-4 years now, I forget what NA is like.

Oh I understand. On a boosted setup though there's no doubt in my mind I'd be running a Vic Jr. with an elbow, be it Aaron's or otherwise.

I reached out to a contact at MSD asking about the JEGS shipping dates to see if it's accurate. I'll let you know what I find out.

This is crazy. New intake...major vendors are taking money and promising shipping dates...no 3rd party testing data is out yet!

I would not be so sure that is true. When I spoke the the MSD team at PRI last month, they said that they sent it out for independent testing after their own test. They said that the independent test were even more positive than their own. I forget what shop they said did the test, but if you call the new products guys, they will surely share that with you.

Where is their real, actual data with back-to-back runs with the stock intake on a LS1/2/6? All we've seen is a LS7 graph that compares the results to the "competitor's" intake.

Did you just ask a question after quoting the answer to the question?

I think he was referring to just seeing one on an ls1/6 vathedral setup. The tests have been conducted on square port ls7 motors with heads or just a cam. Either way the demandds of a cammed ls7 are much more than a cammed 346 so while it may gain a lot on a motor like that the gains on a mild cam only ls1 may be much smaller. Thats what we need data for I couldn't care less how it performs against a FAST on a 550hp ls7

All I've seen have been LS7 tests too. I'm not sure if any tests have been done on a LS1 setup, but I would think there would have had to be some.

More air is more power... If the Fast shows gains on a stock motor, I don't know why the MSD wouldn't. Then again, I don't know ANYONE that uses a Fast on a stock motor to begin with. It's going to be at least a cammed car, if not heads as well.

If it gains more than a Fast on an LS7, and is cheaper... Just seems like a no brainer to me.

I talked to my rep at MSD, and he laughed at the JEGS shipping date, and said he would look into that, I guess that why today, it says 2/20/15 as a ship date, which is about accurate to when to expect them.

I knew that was the case. Hell, they've been on Summit's website for over a month and a half now and they just keep on pushing the shipment date back there too. No sense in buying something until you know for damn sure they have them in stock and will ship them out the next day. Last time I checked, Summit and Jegs aren't a bank, and I doubt they are giving you any interest for keeping your money while you're left there holding your dick.

No, those results are word-of-mouth at best and bad marketing at worse. We need a few in the hands of Joe Racer's Speed Shop and tested on a heads/cam stock shortblock. Until then, there's a lot of faith in MSD going on.
