Well, the thought of this intake had me excited for a while, but I've decided to move onto a turbo build, so my LS6 intake will suit me fine for that build.

Everything I see says the intake ships late April to first week in May.

If it gains more than a Fast on an LS7, and is cheaper... Just seems like a no brainer to me.
This is true, however there comes a point where more air wont help because the intake is no longer a restriction. Case in point a stock 241 headed car with a 224r cam may not gain anything from going to a 102 ported fast from a 92 simply because the heads wont support the extra air flow. Wheres the same change on a AI 243 car with a 230/234 cam may see 15 hp or even more.

I'm stating that this intake will most likely provide gains over a fast on a larger motor or one with a badass set of heads. However mist of us want to know what they would be on a cam only 346 car. Which is something no one has tested. I've only seen ls7 cases with heads or even cam only ones. Either way they flow way more out of the box than any cathedral head. My bet is it will be minor differences with stock heads and then be worth it on more radical set ups. Who knows I may eat my words

I agree with you that you'll see bigger gains with this intake on a heads and cam LS1 over say a cam only setup, but I still think the gains on a cam only setup will be pretty significant. People have proven it with the various FAST intakes, so I don't see this intake being any different. Like I said way early in this thread, why would a company make a new product created to go head to head with FAST and not make it to outperform it. Smart business would be to create and test and keep making changes until your product is the better product. Time will tell of that is true.

I completely agree with what you're saying. I meant more around the lines of power is made in the intake RUNNER if the intake itself is not a restriction. This runner is quite different than a run of the mill Fast though, albeit the new runners now available might make it a moot point.

If it's cheaper than a Fast, and even putting up IDENTICAL numbers... Well...

And, to add to my point, I doubt it's coincidence that FAST all of the sudden came out with these different length interchangeable runners. Obviously, they were under some pressure to come out with something that's going to at least be on the same level as the new MSD intake.

FAST looks much better. The markings on the msd intake are gawdy.

The markings can easily be sanded off. I think it's better looking than the FAST.

Ls **** has been needing some shorter runners for a while now. Should be a big help for the guys that turn them harder.

It does look better with the logo's sanded off, I just saw the photoshop further back in this thread. If it out performs the fast and is equally priced I would Buy one.

I don't think you'll care what it looks like when you're dragging someone's ***.

It would be nice to see the numbers by the other companies that tested this intake. I already bit the bullet on Mamo's 220s and now I am waiting on my intake decision. Of course I do have plenty of time to decide thank goodness.

Maybe it's just a "regular" price until they have them on the shelves... Like MSRP or something.

Martin, any idea if Tick will be carrying these, and if so, since I'm a Tick rewards member, will we be able to get them cheaper?
