Default Best sound for Ws6?

Currently in the market for a new exhaust...
What are you guys running? I'm sorta looking for that 'old school muscle car' sound, any suggestions?

I've never heard them (except on videos but that doesn't do justice) but everyone says the kooks true duals sound the best. Personally I loved my magnaflow cat-back as they would be a fairly subtle ruble at idle and would turn into a roaring beast above 3k but would not drone at cruising.

yeah kooks is pricy but I had the Magnaflow 16723 which is the quad tip but I think the dual tip 15684 sounds the same. I like the looks of the quad tip and if you do some hunting you can find it for a reasonable price.

Okay guys.... hate to bust your bubble here but I only paid 1200 bucks shipped for my exhaust system. I love my kooks!!

If you get a good quality Y pipe they cost more than 300 bucks then you'll spend another 700-1000 on the the cat back.

End of the day I got the same amount of money into my exhaust system as most guys got on here but sound totally different due to the kooks having a X pipe.

haha no problem, I'd do kooks any day but us poor Californians are plagued buy our horrible legislator smog rules so we don't get the fancy Y pipes or X pipes and LTs that everyone else gets to have Yes I know you can still do it but you would need a shop to custom fab up pipes after the factory cat system . I wanna say I spent about $650 for my catback and I had cali high flow cats, those were the expensive part.

Kind of confused what you're trying to say here..

You mean you bought the cat back dual exhaust system from them WITHOUT headers/y pipe for $1200 shipped?

Ya that's what he's saying. The kooks td system doesnt need a y pipe it hooks right to the headers so basically its 1200 for the whole exhaust plus headers if you need them.

Tusky is also saying that a good y pipe is 300 from kooks/arh then added to the price of a nice catback 700-1000 will be right at the same price either way.

Thanks. It's a 229/244 cam in a bored 6.0 with LS3 heads/intake.

How many guys on here running a corsa cat back? Plenty!
Corsa cat back cost like 900 plus bucks from sponsors on here..... add a good quality y pipe and you'll end up with more money in your single 3 inch exhaust system than I have in my X pipe dual 3 inch setup!!

Only complaint I have about the exhaust is that it turn heads No matter where I'm at!! When I pump gas at the gas station people go crazy and ask me a hundred questions then they always looking underneath the car. At wise open throttle I can be heard exactly a mile away!!
