Default Jegs catback+Long tubes?

Hey guys, Had my Speed engineering Longtubes/ORY for a bit now, and managed to rip my tsp rumbler off on my apartments garage ramp. Was thinking of going with the Jegs catback after seeing Blue98Z's video.

Will it fit to the ORY with no issues? Also, will the sound profile be significantly different than the rumbler? Also curious about tips, could someone recommend a set of "stock style" mailbox tips or other single (not slash cut) tip with 2.5" inlet?

Thanks guys!

Should fit fine, as for the sound profile I personally didn't even know Jegs made a catback for our cars.

I had one on my car for a little while.
It was ok, but I realized I don't like the sound of the chambered muffler and it really accentuated the rasp from 1800-2200 rpm. It's higher pitched than I was expecting, the only way I can describe it as "euro-ish".

I switched to a Magnaflow muffler, and it's much more my style and like half the size.

As far as fitment, the I-pipe fit my Pacesetter y with no problems, but the drivers side exhaust hanger is a joke.
It's a bent rod, threaded at one end, that you thread into a bolt that is welded to the exhaust pipe. The bolt on mine was welded on so caddywompus that I had to grind it off and make my own, cause nothing even came close to lining up.

For $270 or whatever it is now, it gets the job done with some tweaking. As best as I can tell, both the Jegs and the Summit cat-backs are the same and both made by Heart-Throb.

I saw a few videos online, Figured I might shell out for it, and instead of just getting normal tips- I found some muffler tip configurations that are only 3 and a half inches in diameter, and with a little modification could actually look seriously good. Dont know if im allowed to link these, but http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-PCs-Rolled-Edge-Stainless-Steel-Muffler-Exhaust-Tip-2-5inlet-3-5outlet-21Long-/381256303838?hash=item58c4a584de&vxp=mtr. If I need to I can edit the link later.

Im thinking of buying the jegs catback, and buying a set of those, cutting some of the excess pipe you see inside the tip on the ebay page, then putting those on the jegs catback as tips(cutting pipe as necessary). I figured it would have that "slp powerflo" look to it, and from what I can tell are basically bullet muffler/resonators. I don't feel it would look too "ricey", but would like some opinions on how to proceed. Not a fan of corsa clone tips and would like a bit of extra noise control.

for the $360 you're going to spend on those tips & catback, i would first see what you can get done at a local muffler shop. i do not see that for that much you cannot get a 3" midpipe, muffler of choice & tips of choice ... & the muffler will probably be of a better sound & quality than the one provided on the jegs catback. i got my borla xr1, dual tips, & new piping from muffler back to tips (kept stock midpipe for now) installed for $320. ... just a suggestion.

...& i would definitely look for some other tips. the look is fine as appearance is a matter of personal taste, but i would suggest letting the muffler(s) & any resonators (if chosen/wanted) do the actual muffling/resonating as you may not like the sound those tips produce, as they do appear to have some type of resonating design to them & i could only imagine it being cheaply done & ruining any tone you may want

I liked the jegs catback from what I saw, But you guys think I should just put small resonators or bullets after the muffler before the tips and throw my tips of choice on there?

no idea what sound or tone you're looking for ... so my suggestion would be just get some tips that are just that - tips for cosmetic purposes only w/no type of muffler or resonator built into them, then see how you like the sound of your current setup with just the jegs catback. if too loud for your preferences, resonate/muffle more from there. ... you may be surprised & think the catback sounds perfect as is, & in that case ... voila!!! ... & saved yourself $$$ on any unnecessary extra mufflers or resonators.
