Default bad misfire need help

ok so I have a 2001 ws6 and it's running really bad. it feels like it's only running on 7 cylinders. I installed long tubes 4 weeks ago, during install I broke a spark plug, I went to Wal-Mart cuz it was like 12 in the morning and bought a bosch spark plug to replace it. well it was raining last week and wile driving in the dark I went through a big puddle on the way to work. ran fine the whole way there, after work on the way home it started misfiring and running on 7 cylinders, weird part is when I turn the car off then back on it would run good for a few seconds then start misfiring or not firing at all. went home next day it was dry and pulled all the spark plugs and number 6 cylinder(the one I replaced) was water on the threads of the. spark plug, cleaned all the spark plugs and wires(2 wires had some rust on the coil side) started the car up and it ran and drove fine, I wake up for work this morning and the problem is back and I just can't figure it out any help will be greatly appreciated

Time to either do some proper diagnosis, or just replace the wires.

Have you scanned the codes?

I would start with basics. Get a new set of wires and get a new plug to match that 1. After that you will need to try and figure which cyl is miss firing. Might have to go old school and unplug a coil pack 1 by 1 if you can get a code for any cylinders. I'm not sure what to think about the water on the threads. Hopefully its just condensation.

ok so I started testing everything and I have low compression in cylinder 6, the other cylinders have 175 psi and #6 has 130, is that enough of a compression drop to have a complete loss of power?

130 psi isn't good. But wouldn't give you a super noticeable misfire

Have you narrowed it down to which cyl/cyls are misfiring?

Water always makes me think head gasket and your 45psi low. Water should not be there it's too hot and would evaporate in less than a minute.

Hopefully he's not just running water in the coolant system. I figured if it was a head gasket he would have smelled antifreeze on the plug

well I don't have a way to narrow it down, I don't have a scanner or anything I just know I have the p0300 multiple/random misfire. I use dexcool mixed with distilled water 50/50. now I feel stupid for not smelling it. could a blown head gasket cause that much power loss, I had trouble driving up the hill to my house and it's not that steep, that's how bad it is. I could still check the head gasket though.

Yes blown head gasket would cause the issues your having. Would also be blowing white sweet smelling smoke out the exhaust

Fuel smell is a good indication of no spark probably in the cylinder that you said was wet.
