Default High IAT temps on new install?

Guys, I am finishing up my first 4th Gen and LS build..I purchased a 98 Roller, converted to 99-up ECU/Harness built a little basic 6.0l ( 799 heads/cam) running SLP LT ect...LS1 intake and Ported TB from t56 car to A4 now...I have started logging with HPtuners to begin to polish the combo out...I noticed KR of down to as low as 9 degrees ( when commanded only 19 anyway ), got me looking at IATs...I was on the interstate tonight running 75mph in 50 degree air and my IAT temp was 120 degrees!!!! The IAT on my old 67 Camaro with the FAST system on Interstate would be about 3-4 over ambient.....

It has an SLP lid, into a smooth Bellows I think its called, MAF then TB...maybe I am missing a piece I dont know about..Does anything go under the filter up pull cool air up from in front of the radiator? This has been like putting a jig saw puzzle together and you dont even know what the picture is supposed to look like when your done!!!! LOL.. I guess without some kind of duct the Trans cooler, Condensor, and radiator would all toss heat directly into the filter...

let me know if there is a piece im supposed to have and if NOT, then what can I get to duct it down and lower my temps...Ive seen em 140 since ive been paying attention...

There should be a divider panel (black plastic) that the
radiator draws from below, and the airbox, from above.
It goes under the main crossbar and the core support
plastic, running diagonally downward to near the bumper.

If you don't run your e-fans full time your engine bay
can get and stay mighty toasty. All the radiator wash
ends up there, you'd like as much airflow as possible.

If the roller was really hacked, be sure you have the
chin spoiler piece that's supposed to scrape air up to
the radiator.

Thanks for the reply, I guess i need to take the lid off and remove the air filter and look down through there, BUT im 90% sure there is no front spoiler under the nose of the car....which would explain why it runs warmer down the road than at idle........dang.....

certainly don't have front spoiler and only have one piece that it looks like something is supposed to bolt to in fact it's kinda flopping over ocluding air from reaching either but right now I don't see how the engine is getting anything but hot air directly off the top of the radiator...and that's just the limited air that makes it due to the missing spoiler....

search Fast Toys ram air. It's basically the same thing as the SLP kit.

Looks like the divider panel is missing, can't quite make
out whether the chin spoiler is there (black plastic vertical
piece, like this but without the addition)

Yep the divider and "chin spoiler" were both missing meaning its not directing air up in there AND the motor is pulling hot air directly off the top of the radiator ( which is to hot because there is not air LOL )
thanks everyone..

Divider was gone and spoiler AND the previous owner had cut out the air box under the filter so it was ALL worse case....installed spoiler and divider and all is good FYI for others...huge difference in power too...
