I like the Proform setup I just installed. Reasonable price as well. Everything I needed for under $450.

Is the ProForm kit a basic straight forward bolt on kit? Can you post up a link to it?

I thought about going with the proforms, but I have no idea where I would put my trans dipstick tube. It barely fits to the side of the FAST 102, so there wouldn't be enough clearance with the proforms and coil relocation brackets.

I really wish there were other valve cover options out there....

Preform is no more difficult to install than a factory set of valve covers.

If you don't want to run the coils on top of the covers and would like to do a true coil relocation instead, we can help you out. We make brackets that hold 4 coils side by side that you can mount anywhere in the car. That way you can keep those nice valve covers exposed and the coils hidden!

I'm in the process of installing a set of proform on my ls1.

Very disappointed in the coil relocation mounts and mounting hardware. Had to cut the coil relocation bracket and remove a 1.5" section to allow for stock fuel line connections to clear.

The mounting hardware is garbage and should be discarded properly. I went and purchased a nice set of SS Hex head 6mm bolts to mount the coil brackets to the relocation mount.

Also used a set of Teflon lined lock nuts on the brackets to the mounts. It feels much firmer now and in place.

The relocation mount tapped holes in the top section of the valve covers were not cleaned out properly. I ran a bottom tap in each hole several times to clean them out.

For $335.00 the quality is SUB-PAR. and you will need a 13" plug wire MSD part number 39849 at $115.00

I ordered a set of 11" Taylors that were too short, so don't make that mistake.

Here are a couple of pictures almost completed. It has taken me a little longer than expected due to the addition of the braided coolant crossover kit which I'm less that pleased with as well......lol

Wow I didn't have any of the issues you had. Literally not a single complaint. Ok one complaint. I had an RX clean side baffle that no longer fits because the valve cover oil fill hole is larger on the Proform covers. Going to have to fab something up for that. On the plug wires I went with MSDs for the 8.1L engine. Part number from Jegs is 121-39849 @ $93 with racers discount. Fit perfectly.

We have had people mount them in about any location possible. Most people mount them low or on the back of the heads (if you have the room). These aren't the best example pictures but should give you a general idea of what options you have.

There are a couple different style kits but our most popular one comes with everything you need. It comes with the relocation brackets, different coil harnesses made for the relocation bracket, and a set of MSD universal wires. Price is $330 for the entire kit.
