Default Anybody run this intake?

http://www.ws6project.com/user_stor/...oducts_id=7836

I dont think i have seen this low profile version. Supposedly it clears f body cowls. I have a na set up that revs to 7k. Anyone have any 1st hand experience with this? It sure does look nice!

Im not expecting it to make more power than a fast 102 set up, but if it can be close to a fast 92 set up, im sold. Looks great and is cheap!

With those short runners NA gains will be above 6000 RPM
trading Massive losses in torque from 2000-5000 RPM.
I would bet 3 lb ft lost between 2-5K for each 1 HP gained
from 6000+ RPM. Best with Solid Cam peak HP 7000+
spinning 7500+ and or forced induction.
Does look cool though!

Doesnt that typically apply to longer runners being more of a high rpm performer?

No!
Just the opposite! The new Fast intake runners the shorter
You go the higher the Peak HP, as long as you have head flow,
Cam design, valvetrain stability, and bottom end to keep
Spinning higher.

Pozesd99'
Your version 2 would perform best with FAST 102 with standard
(long runners) for the street than change to mid length runners
For the track. Either set up would Annihilate the Sniper Intake
For your V2 Application. Ported MSD by Tony Mamo @ MMS
would also work very well. 4" Stroke makes up for RPM by
Increasing piston speed VS stock Stroke at same RPM.

I'm pretty sure that with a 7k rev limit, you might only gain power at 6800+ with that intake. Massive losses across the board.

Every now and then there comes along a badass looking intake for these cars, and almost everytime they never outperform the good old Fast intakes

It's really not that much more expensive than a FAST intake. I agree with NAVYBLUE210. I'd go with the proven FAST intake.

Get the Fast....it easily supports revving to 7k and makes good power under the curve. The intake in OP would be best with a solid roller spinning 7500+ rpm or forced induction as Navyblue210 mentioned.
