I've posted my questions and plans previously. To save some time:
ls1 ported heads, 600lift cam, 1 5/8 lt headers, Bmr torque arm and trans support. Moser 9"
picked up se td over axle, relocation bar and installed in a few hours (with lift) before additional mods were made.
clamp bolts replaced (still not perfect)
driver side collector is oval
hangers (meh)
Took some time to hang close to body but not scraping (almost ride height)
wasn't as loud as I thought it would be. Was actually thrilling to drive. 2k rpm drone is annoying.
installed 2 ultra quiet resonators. Volume down almost too much but crackle is nearly gone. Everyone loves the sound...even stranger mustang owners and my aged neighbors. Definitely freed up power from my ypipe.
Placed one resonator where muffler was and other in front of axle (needed some cutting and welding to clear moving axle). After I upgrade the motor (thoughts in process, different plan almost daily) going to try helmholts tube fab for annoying drone.
Space between gas tank and relocation bar is minimal. Pipe banged on bar so I tried it down to bar (better thought resolution in process)
in hindsight, wish I would have went w smaller dynotech resonators for the crackle or tried helmholtz route first... Would have save some volume and not needing to cut up 100dollar ultraquiet resonator. All in all, good value exhaust system and really cool tips. String is temp. Will be replaced with something more fitting to keep pipe from banging bar and away from gas tank. Heat shield (removed) only made bangin noise worse. Barely clears axle Im not a pro welder or metal guy
I had the banging too so after trying to fiddle with it. Adjustments to the hanger under the rear seat helped. When I had my exhaust shop weld on my CME tips I had them put on solid mounts to the last two hanger locations and I don't get any banging anymore.

I am interested in doing the same with this system and my CME tips. Can you post pics of what yours looks like
@jaxcam02 are your cme tip 2.5 inch or 3"? I have a true dual with x pipe that I made myself but its 2.5" and would like to change my headers and true duals to 3" my cme tip is a 2.5" though.

They are the OEM 2.5 inch tips. I had the shop expand out the inlet on the tips as much as possible to weld up to 3 inch pipe. It's not pretty by any means but it's under the car and I don't care.
For the clearance between the pan hard and gas tank I wrapped that pipe in exhaust insulation and im rolling with that. Seems to work fine, don't notice any interaction with the gas tank and don't hear banging on the pan hard
Love mine. Just got it installed a week or so ago. Still need minor adjustment on it to finalize but it’s good enough for now. Only issue I had and wasn’t an issue for me really, was the bolt that was supplied with the panhard bar relo. Was no biggy for me as I had extra stock panhard bolts already. Nice exhaust for a great price. You can’t go wrong with this setup.

Somebody give me part numbers or some info about what I can replace these mufflers with that will quiet it down. Thank You In Advance.

Please tell us you did actually read through these 49 pages of opinions, reviews and problems/issues before buying the exhaust system?!
The size and diameter of the bullet mufflers on this system kinda give it away that it’s going to be loud.

YEP, I wasn’t trying to be arrogant. Before I had a clone of this system made in the U.K. I read all comments in this thread and made a decision that I wanted the volume and sound that true duals with 12 inch bullet mufflers with no more than 1/4 inch of fibre wadding would provide, especially on a head and cam car which is already louder than stock.
Luckly i dont daily drive my WS6 so could deal with the reports of a very loud system with a bit of drone at highway speeds, although to be honest after 2000 Miles the system developed a much more refined, deeper and not as crackly sound which I absolutely love.

I guess too loud is a matter of opinion. What some of the guys that have posted on some of these pages as "Sounds Great" is obviously too loud for my DD. Excuse me for not knowing the difference. I have been following this thread for months as many others have and read it as thoroughly as my small mind can comprehend.
Now back to my question.
Those that have replaced the bullet mufflers to quieten the sound. What have you used?

Sound quantity/quality is SO subjective. Gotta keep in mind many of the cars discussed here are NOT D/D's but "hobby cars" for when their owners want to get "loud and proud". I too like a nice sounding exhaust, BUT too much volume/raspiness gets very old very fast.
ANYTHING will be quieter than bullet mufflers. Check the Magnaflow and Flowmaster catalogs for compact yet quieter mufflers for your application. There is a good variety out there if you look for it. Best of luck!

This x2. I've had to drive mine too work for the last week due to warranty issues on the truck and it's way too early in the morning for that loudness. I cannot wait to get my truck back.
