Default Ebay header ya or nay?

I need new headers and I've been looking at eBay headers. There is a LT non-emission lot that comes with a y-pipe and there are pacesetters within my budget of $400. My question is does anyone have experience with the eBay kits. I hear it's advised to buy quality gaskets with the eBay headers. Also considering buying just the headers and having my shop fab up a y-pipe. Would this be ideal money-wise? Looking for suggestions and tips about the reliability of these eBay headers.

. Also the kit description mentions primary sizes (1 3/4) & (1 1/4) does this have any benefits aspects to the sizes or does it just correlate with what size exhaust you want:ex, 2", 3", etc.

. Thanks for any advice you guys can come up with. Much appreciated. Have a nice day.

Speedengineering is a sponsor here and they have a quality product for a good price.

I intend to get their truck headers at some point.

Yea those are SE headers, but no theres nothing wrong w/ Ebay headers. There was some fitment issues early on but that has changed. Bought a set of C5 ripoff stainless kooks of Ebay for about $600-800 cheaper and they fit like a glove and have been holding up fine.

Used headers go for under 200 around here. Have you checked your local classified section?

I'm running Speed long tubes with Y pipe on my car. Slid right in and fit like a glove. I reused the factory gaskets on my car and have not had one problem since. Been over 2 years now and still going strong.

I'll be another that will vouch for the speed engineering long tubes. Stainless steel, 1 7/8 primaries, velocity spikes, they fit well.. and for the price you can't beat em.

Speed Engineering all the way. I just got the 1 7/8 and they installed very easy with the Y-pipe. Night and day vs the sub 200 eBay headers.

I was pretty happy with mine after I killed my SLP headers on a raised manhole. The engine really liked the SLPs with bigger primaries, (Grande top end) but the ebay headers fit ok and perform ok for the price.

Is there a clearance issue with Oil drain plug? Looks like it is not screwed in all the way.

I used a set of OBX headers and Y-pipe off eBay. They were pretty nice and had better ground clearance than the SLP headers I had before. You just don't want to use the exhaust clamps or header gaskets that come with it.
