Fully ported LS1 heads (#806) on a. LR4
Hi guys
i build a budget lr4 right now its a 04' drive by wire engine/setup. In great condition.
i just swapped in a LS1 cam that i got real cheap.
as well as behive springs that i put on the 706 heads.
NOW i got offered fully shop proffesionaly ported LS 1 heads #806 incl. Aftermarket springs and matching coilpacks, 10:5:1 compression for a good deal.
i try to get the best bank for a low buck
NA. I want to keep the truck intake and ill get a good tune for it.
what you think do this Ls1 heads help bringing the performance up of that lil likable 4.8?

I'll bet they are ported by Lloyd Elliot. He's been around a long time and his work performs.

He goes by NightTrain66 on here and other forums. I'd PM him and see if he can identify them as his.

No problem. Report back, I'm curious if they are his or not. I wonder if the 0711 stamping is a date they were done.
He also has a website Elliottsportworksdotcom you can try and contact him through that.

Cool^
I figured they were the stage 1 port job, being they have LE1 on them.
Should be a good set of heads. Lloyd's work is top notch. OP, if you can swing the little extra money, maybe contact Lloyd for one of his cams too.

Not bashing that casting, they clean up just like a 853 or 241 .If those heads were done 15 or 20 years ago . It would not surprise me some one using them , but most guys opt to go with center bolt castings when they upgrade now days. Who knows maybe Joe P. is in the LS1 Preservation Society and believed in trying his car period correct for restoration purposes.

got a answr from LLOYD ELLIOT..
INDEED THIS ARE HIS HEADS...
"yes, we did those back in 2011 for a customer
Looks like we reused his beehive springs instead of the dbl springs the we like to use but keep the cam in the be .560"or so lift range with a slow/moderate ramp speed and they can live a while."

Awesome. If you do a cam upgrade at some point give him a holler. He has a proven record of making good power with his combos.
