True duals over the axel
True duals over the axel Ok so i have a question everyone. I have a 2000 Camaro z28 ls1 that I'm currently building 243 heads for as well as other things. So my question i have is will the speed engineering or tsp true duals 3" over the axel be louder then my current setup which is 1" 7/8" pacesetter longtubes tsp 3" ory and a loud mouth 1. Or will it be quite. And if I cut the mufflers/resonators or whatever they are im assuming mufflers off will it make it louder then the setup I have now. I want to have a dual exhaust but still have it as loud if not louder. So what do you guys think?
If you want loud, just run the TSP true duals how they were designed... just short of the axle... I run Pacesetters and the TSP TDs and it's deff loud enough... I'm old enough now, I might quiet it down a bit... hahaha
haha never to old to have loud cars lol. Im 25 im only building mine to go to car shows with my dad he has a 72 Camaro 454 lol. So i know loud. But couldn't I just cut the mufflers out? Wouldn't it be the same just longer? Plus I like rear exit exhaust call me old fashion but I do. Im assuming it would be the same especially with the stuff im adding to the car like heads intake and cam
eh I dont mind welding lol worse comes to worse I'll just put nice tips on it like the single tips for some reason I dont like duals.

is that the over the axel or dumps? And im gettimg rid of the y and lm1 I have the speed enginering over the axel and im thinking about removing the muffler and putting a straight pieces of pipe in there which essentially shpuld be the same as the dumped version just with the tips out the back which i like. Basically a dual exhaust lm1 lol

Ive got the over the axle duals from speed engineering. Its pretty damn loud and has a good amount of drone in the cab as well. Somewhat quiet at idle but a totally different story at WOT...... Ive been through quite a bit of systems. Ive had custom true duals dumped with moroso spiral flows. Loved the sound of that setup. Them went with the LM1 with a moroso instead of the resonator. Bit quieter than the duals. Now I'm with the current set up.
It's louder and drones more but sounds really good at WOT. I couldn't take the drone any more so I installed some 5" round magnaflow mufflers before the axle and dumped them.
