full exhaust research....chime in
so what setup is best for me? is there a brand of headers known for better ground clearance? my front end is lowered 1.25" on aftermarket springs and the rear is only rubber hose mod on the stock springs. catback known for good ground clearance?
the exhaust smell in the car.....it might be the leaking collectors but could also be no cats or could be the dumps before the axle. Must I have cats to avoid this problem? must I go with rear bumper exit to avoid this smell?
I had a friend put the tsp headers on this 2001 Camaro which is lowered about 1". he had to unbolt at least one motor mount to get the headers in. this has already ruled out tsp for me. anyone experience this?
anyone with aftermarket exhaust on lowered f body...please chime in and tell me how you like your setup.
I have similar exhaust to yours and I’m lowered on 1.25” springs. My pacesetter LTs don’t scrape its the bad exhaust setup with bullets.

Pros: all polished stainless, sounds loud and mean, very affordable
Cons: may be too loud for some tastes, fuel smell, specific x members needed for short tunnel mount TA setup
2. Get this: https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...e-cutouts.html
Pros: Allows you to have the best of all worlds, quiet or loud, great ground clearance on lowered cars, no fuel smell, compatible with certain short TA tunnel mount setups
Cons: Much more expensive, not all components are polished stainless
You only need a short TA if you 1/4 mile track the car. A long torque arm is a better option for a street only car and offers much more fitment compatibility with various exhaust setups.
