You mean the bolts don't line up? Return it.

but is there a reason apart from there being a machining error ? Did bolt pattern change at all ?

The LS 6-bolt flywheel pattern has not changed. I noticed you got it from eBay. There's your reason why it won't fit. Sloppy machining.
One thing. You do know that one bolt is supposed to be "off" a bit from the pattern, right? Rotate the part until all holes line up.

Hi.
It's a quartermaster bought from speedway motors from Lincoln it's still tight on crank also not saying a bang with a hammer won't get it on but the bolts are off what ever way we try.
I am based in the UK so ebay was the easiest way not the preferred way.

The flywheel says “Quater Master”....or am I seeing things wrong?
I believe that’s a typical Flea-Bay imitation part. I’ve ran lots of QuarterMaster stuff in my circle track stuff, and it’s high quality and highly priced stuff.
Send it back. You can get a real one from Jegs for $15 cheaper, and it ships directly from QuarterMaster.

I don’t think that a company like QuarterMaster would misspell their own name on their own part...perhaps I’m wrong? My eyes aren’t as good as they used to be.
Not sure about the bolt patterns being different.

It DOES indeed say "Quater Master", and no, a company is NOT going to misspell their own name on their product. This one is NOT a Quartermaster. Your "trusted" seller is not to be trusted. Did YOU buy it from Speedway yourself? Or thru a middleman?
