Question about the SLP LM How does one mount this system to an aftermarket Y pipe? I don't have access to a pipe spreader that would expand the inlet from 2 3/4 to 3", and I can't seem to find anything on their site regarding the issue. Thank you.

The loudmouth slips over the y pipe. Every y pipe I have ever seen necks down and every catback I have ever seen that is a 3" catback doesn't neck down so it slips over the y pipe. If you are trying to get rid of this 2-3" piece of pipe that is only 1/4" smaller diameter then dont waste your time. Its not gonna make any difference.

The Y-pipe that I have is a 3" piece, and the inlet for the system is 2 3/4". I am more concerned about neatness than I am about necking the pipe down for performance, however, I am not willing to sacrifice the performance either. I've seen what choking exhaust in the middle like that can do in extreme cases, and considering that my goal is to make my car as powerful AND efficient as possible, it's pretty much free power ensuring that the exhaust isn't cut down in the middle.
