5.3 harness vs 5.7 harness
If you want to send out your camaro PCM to get reflashed with some better air/fuel/ignition tables that are more suited to the 5.3, you could do that, but if you plan on putting the 5.7 back in there, I wouldn’t waste the time or money.
But as others have said, you will just be using the 5.3 long block. You will need to swap over the following from your 5.7:
Complete Intake
Coil packs (unless you want to make spacers to move the 5.3 driver side coil packs to clear the fuel line)
Front accessories including the water pump and crank pulley. To mount the alternator, you will need to drill and tap one boss on the block.
And don't forget the LS1 oil pan, windage tray, and oil pickup.
Think I had to change the Oil Pressure Sending Unit too, but the rest of the 5.3 sensors were fine iirc.
