Powerbond 25% underdrive pulley. Does anyone have a long term review on the Powerbond 25% underdrive pulley. I have one that I’ll be installing soon and have read a lot of positive reviews but does anyone have one with a lot of miles on it or several years trouble free? Just seen on Facebook where a guy was saying they were junk but I’ve seen a lot of reviews but no long term reviews.

I've had the SLP version which I'm pretty sure is a Powerbond pulley just rebranded. Anyway, it has been on my LS2 in my GTO since 2012. No issues at all. Just be sure to use Gates belts. I used what I thought were quality belts, Goodyear Gatorback belts, and even with the tall sides on the pulley they got tossed and chewed up twice. Since I switched to Gates' belts I haven't had any trouble at all. I've had no cooling or charging issues whatsoever. My LS2 is close to full bolt ons (headers, 1.8 rockers, OTRCAI, FAST 102, tune). I'd say the underdrive pulley has around 15k miles on it.

I think most people's concern with these is the large amount of underdrive. But as I've said, mine has caused no charging or cooling issues whatsoever.
Another concern voiced at times is that the pulley needs to be a BALANCER not just a pulley. The Powerbond IS a balancer and from what I've learned a pretty darn good one.

I've had one on my car for almost 15 years with no issue. I did end up OD my alternator though. I will probably upgrade to an ATI balancer this spring due to spinning the engine so high after the cam swap.
Same here. Had one on multiple stroker builds over 15 years and still in use. No issues what so ever but i will say it is a heavy biatch'!!
