Default Longtube headers on lowered car

I plan to buy the FLP longtube headers for my 01' SS. I bought the car used and it has lowering springs. I believe the car has been lowered 1"-1-1/2".
Will I have any problems with ground clearance with these headers or any other longtubes for that matter ?
I have the stock springs and can go back to those if need be.
Also anyone with the FLP's how do you like them ?
thanks!

stay away from the SLP headers. All the other LTs hang just a tad lower than the factory stuff. Clamp positioning is key as well; remember to position the clamp bolts off to the side and not towards the bottom.

I have FLP's and the car is lowered with BMR springs....which was about 1.25" if I remember correctly. I would scrape the driver side of the y-pipe (the lowest hanging part of my system) every so often the first couple of weeks when pulling into/out of certain parking lots. But, I just adjusted my driving slightly when pulling into steep areas and haven't scraped anything in a long time now. I have no issues with my FLP's. The only noteable I can think of is that the driver side header comes real close to the oil drain pan bolt. But, using a prybar to move the header slightly, it takes maybe an extra 30 seconds to get the bolt in and out....not a big deal to me.

Exactly, the clamps are the key. I still scrape a bit, but that's Missouri roads for you. Third worst in the nation.

I'm running Sportlines (2 inch drop) with pacesetter LT's and i dont have a problem scaping. Just have to stay away from those huge speed bumps and dont drive like a maniac (sp) on chopped up roads and your good to go!

You'll be fine. I have Hooker LT's on eibach prokit springs. Just take it easy over speed bumps and overpasses on highways.

FLP's here and lowered with a Prokit.

It's the Y-pipe you gotta watch out for. I wiped out a set of clamps cause I was doing about 80 and hit a whoop dee doo kind of dip on the highway. Took both front clamps out. And yes, make sure the bolts are up on the side of the pipes.

You just have to be a little more careful. In everyday driving, I've never had a problem. Maybe a little scrape here and there over speed bumps. No big deal. It's expected. If youre driving agressively and and hit a dip wrong, you can bottom the Y-pipe and mess up the clamps.

I've been fine since that one incident and I've been lowered with long tubes for more than a year now.

I have G2 Springs which is about the same drop as the Sportlines on my car. The pacesetters do the trick. Actually to my surprise they are tucked up better than the stock ypipe.

I have the SLP Eibach springs (about 1.25") and Kooks LT's. I've never scraped anything. As long as you angle yourself over the bumps, you'll be fine.

As long as you stay away from SLP LTs you won't ever scrape your headers. It is the ypipe that you will probably scrape. Be careful over speed bumps and railroad tracks.
