Jet Hots & single chamber flows
Jet Hots & single chamber flows I thought that I would let you all know that I finished installing this set up on my A4 Camaro. I really love the sound. I went with Jet Hot ceramic coated headers, 2.5" pipe, a flowtech x pipe, and 10 series flowmaster mufflers. I have a few small rattles to solve, but nothing major. I'll post pics and a vid as soon as I can. There is some drone, but nothing you can't get used to. It comes in at about 1700rpms and lasts til about 2100. My old set up was a flowmaster american thunder catback with a slp y-pipe, so I noticed a major difference in power. I have to complement Jet Hot on a superior product. Fitment was excellent, the driver's side header went into place with no knotching of the k-member, steering linkage removal or raising of the engine and the passenger side was a breeze. I guess I had about 15 hours in the entire job, including the true dual fabrication. I have had nothing but positive comments on the setup and I would recommend it to anyone.

I haven't seen the mufflers secured by those types of hangers before. Maybe they are causing some of your vibrating problems.

In regards to the rebagded ss, yes, my car was originally a Z28. I've always wanted an SS but insurance is extremely expensive. I have the spoiler but it has not been painted yet and the wheels will be here in a few weeks. Its much cheaper to make an SS than pay insurance on one. I wanted to have a pair of SS's.
