Some older LS6 intakes had a whine problem, which sounded like a SC. GM redesigned it to prevent the noise. Mine does it pretty loud sometimes...although I think my ported TB adds to it.

Does is sound like: "Fweeeeeeeeeee". LOL. If it sounds like a supercharger it could be your belt. Get some belt dressing and spray it on to be sure. You will know really fast if that is it. And if you have any jingling, that would probably be your alternator.

that makes no sense...i know lids will sometimes make your car whistle...so most likely any intake work will make it whine...also i've noticed with my old 98 camaro that when you turn the wheel and accelerate around a corner it will whine a lot more...that is most likely the power steering pump though

It could also be your fuel pump. I've heard quite a few loud fuel pumps on f-bodies that make the sound you describe, but you car doesn't do it in neutral so that might rule that out. I know I can always hear my fuel pump under light throttle since there isn't enough exhaust noise to drown it out. It's also more pronounced when my car isn't warmed up yet.

Mine makes a whistle/whine when I'm opening and closing the throttle when rowing the gears. Of course theres the fuel pump, power steering, and possible belt noises. Its impossible to diagnose over the net.
