Default Swapped the ultra flo mufflers for super turbos in my duals

I cut the dynomax ultra flo mufflers out of my dumped true duals with x pipe and welded in a set of dynomax super turbos. I'm trying to quiet the car down some. It helped the noise some, but not as much as I had hoped. I originally had bullets in my true duals, which was insanely loud. Maybe I'll try and run the duals out the back one of these days. I think this would help the noise level in the car quite a bit. Anyone have any pics of 3 inch duals out the back?

www.ls1sounds.com has a few pics..

Also do a search on here. I remember seeing one set that ran out the back.

I've always been curious what these cars would sound like with dual Super Turbos. Any chance you could get a sound clip?

I can try and get some, but I will need to borrow the stuff to do it because I don't have the stuff I need.

check out http://www.sweet-thunder.com/ for a true dual out the back. There is a trans am on there some where with it. Looks like a true dual GMMG.

also just check the angle at which it exits...I have seen miracles happen if you are talkign about the interior noise. IF it's just plain loud outside... thank the LS1!

I have the turndowns turned out at about 45 degrees, but I'm starting to wonder if having them angled straight down is better for interior noise.

Having them pointed straight down will make your interior noise worse. The sound will just reverberate off the ground and the drone with seam worse.

I read that you should either turn them outwards or inward at an angle to sorta cancel each other out.

for a while I had no turndowns on the car when I used to have the ultra flo mufflers. I put the turndowns in and it made a huge difference in noise.

How does the turbo mufflers sound compared to the ultraflos? Deeper? Did you notice any difference in power?

The car doesn't seem to have lost any power as far as I can tell. I'm going to the track tomorrow and I'll know for sure.

The funny thing about comparing the noise level between the super turbos and the ultraflos is that the super turbos didn't seem to reduce the noise hardly at all below about 1300 rpm, but above that the car us much quieter than it was with the ultra flo.

That sounds like the ultraflo muffler. Mine is quiet at low rpms and gets louder as the rpms go up.
