Yeah after reading up I think I will wait and go with the Ti Tech coated ones. My racing season is over anyway, no reason to get in a rush.

i e-mailed edelbrock, and this is what they replied in regards to their new headers:

"As of now they have not been released for production yet and it should be around the January before released into production."

So is EDL-65703 the Ti-Tech and is $379 for the coated headers, or is that the price to upgrade to the ti-tech? If this is the price for the TiTech coated long tubes, I am sold!

Default Information on Ti-TECH

Hi Guys,

The Ti-TECH coating is now the standard coating that will be applied to all Edelbrock headers and the new Sound Deflection Technology chambered mufflers. There are several key advantages to the Ti-TECH coating.

1.) It offers the protection of a ceramic coat at traditional painted pricing. This is due to the fact that Ti-TECh is actually a ceramic based paint that withstands temperatures in excess of 1600-degrees F.

2.) The cost of the Ti-TECH is not in addition to, again, this is now the standard coating that will be applied. The new coating did increase the production cost slightly and will probably impact the retial pricing in the neighborhood of $20.00 over the traditional crap paint. So it is well worth the added expense.

3.) It looks cool. Ti-TECH is a satin titanium color and looks really clean in any engine compartment.

With all this being said, the new Ti-TECH process is in fact up and running and has been for several weeks. It may take a little time for Distributors to cycle existing inventories, but all current production is Ti-TECH coated and will be from here on out. Below is a link to the official Ti-TECH press release for additional information:

Thanks,
Jason.

So if you were to order a set of the Edelbrock Victor series race headers, they would be Ti-tech coated instead of the black paint?

I'm guessing places like SDPC have inventory that they still need to get rid of. That was one of the reasons I was holding off on buying them was the coating. I don't mind taking the headers and having the O2 bosses welded on as well as the collectors...

This might be the Christmas present I wanted.

Thanks.
